Dr. Sathish G Palayam, D.D.S.
Dr. Sathish G Palayam, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, combined his lifelong passions for medicine and computer technology, and emerged as a revolutionary force in contemporary dentistry.
While implementing cutting edge technology in private practice, he also travels educating thousands of dentists on integrating two exciting, fast growing technologies.
Dr. Sathish is one of only a handful of dentists in the state of Massachusetts trained on LANAP an advanced laser assisted Periodontal osseous surgery and LAPIP, an Implant surgical protocol along with 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), as well as its application in surgical dentistry with predictable outcomes. These technologies together allow Dr. Satish to produce a 3D model of the patient so he can simulate and perfect the dentistry on a virtual model first, and then transfer it to the patient for treatment.
Both systems work great independently but a magical thing happens when they communicate with each other. The end result is absolute precision. We can deliver results within a fraction of a hair, or 100 microns of accuracy (100 microns is one tenth of a millimeter). We still use our hands, of course, but taking treatment and patient comfort to the next level. Dr. Satish travels extensively in the U.S., to train clinicians. He is a member of the ADA and a board member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, training New dentists on dental office compliance and standard of care for better and more predictable treatment outcomes.
Dr. Sathish is not only involved in educating surgeons in the field of 3D imaging, computer generated implant surgery but also in the art of providing virtually “Painless Dental Anesthesia” which is the most common fear of visiting a dentist worldwide in various dental applications. His road to becoming known for establishing Laser Periodontal and Implant surgical procedures many of the techniques and protocols for digital implantology began with his training from his mentor a world-renowned Periodontist, Dr. Raymond Yakna.

Dr Sathish is supported by his wife, also a renowned dentist and together they bring over 40 years of dental experience into this office. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his wife and two children, a son and a daughter and actively participates in theatre and volunteering for various causes.
Minal Narayan, D.M.D.
Dr Minal is a graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine and has been practicing Dentistry for more than 20 years.
She is passionate about cosmetic and restorative dentistry and strives to deliver excellent dental care to her patients. She truly enjoys working with children and her kind and gentle demeanor is appreciated by her young patients.
Dr. Minal continually improves her knowledge of advancements in dentistry through various courses.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS).
When not practicing dentistry she loves spending time with her family. Both Drs Palayam and Minal live in Lexington with their two children.
Wendy is our office manager, she enjoys greeting each patient, both new and existing, giving them a warm welcome into our practice. Wendy started in the dental field as a dental assistant 20 years ago. She quickly became cross trained in all aspects of the dental office while obtaining knowledge in dental insurance. With hard work and dedication, she was promoted to office manager, where she has been for 12 years now. She enjoys spending time with her family, but most of all her grandchildren who she adores. She also enjoys camping, hiking, with her 3 dogs and going on road trips in her jeep.
Heather is our insurance coordinator, she first started with Lex Smiles in 2011 as a dental assistant and has helped our practice grow. She will work her absolute hardest to ensure that you have an understanding of any insurance coverage you may have. Heather lives with her husband and 2 boys and is expecting a baby girl on the way. She enjoys learning new ways of healthy living.
Michelle is our scheduling coordinator. She worked as a Dental Assistant from 2017-2020. Today, she dedicates herself to ensure that the office staffing runs smoothly. Michelle has one son, and enjoys traveling with her Fiance. She also loves the performing arts.
Trisha is our dental hygienist, her connection with people and being part of their overall health has been and continues to be an honor. She graduated in 1981 with an A.S. Degree in Dental Hygiene from Middlesex Community College. Since then, she has been working in the dental field, sharing dental experiences in both General and Periodontal offices. Trisha has been a valuable part of our team since 2001. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on Cape Cod, riding her bike during the warm weather months and skiing when snow arrives.
Hayley graduated from MCPHSU, Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene where she earned her bachelor of science in Dental Hygiene and license to administer local anesthesia. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2015 and joined our team at Lexsmiles in 2021. Hayley takes pride in creating a comfortable treatment environment for all patients, especially those with dental anxiety. She is passionate about educating her patients with individualized home care instructions and loves seeing patients leave satisfied with their appointment! Outside of dentistry Hayley enjoys playing soccer, painting, golfing and trying new restaurants.
Karli graduated with a associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Middlesex Community College. She loves building connections with her patients, educating them and being a guide for their oral health. Karli admits she grew up insecure about her smile and always loved the idea of helping others with their confidence! Outside of hygiene she practices her other passion which is art. She also loves to paint, read, and stay active with friends and family.
